Mr Brian Camilleri - Family Therapist & Systematic Practitioner

Mr Brian Camilleri graduated in 2005 with an honours degree in Social Work and later furthered his studies by reading for a Master in Family Therapy and Systemic Practice in 2016 at the University of Malta.

Brian has extensive experience within the addiction field through direct work with individuals facing difficulties related to drug, alcohol and gambling addictions as well as their families. Further to this, Brian gained experience through his work carried out in two different residential rehabilitation programmes; one of which he coordinated for 4 years. Throughout his career, he gained experience in facilitating various groups such as support groups, psycho educational groups, co-parenting groups for separated couples and positive parenting groups. In his work with families and couples, Brian mainly adopts a systemic framework which supports him to focus and explore relationships and the way the different parts within the system impact and are impacted by each other.

Over the past 3 years working as a Family Therapist and Systematic Practitioner, Mr Camilleri has engaged in intensive psychotherapeutic work with couples as well as families experiencing various difficulties and relational challenges. In fact, he identifies working therapeutically with couples as his main area of interest despite his having experience with various family systems.
