Ms Claudia Azzopardi,

Health Psychology Practitioner

Ms Claudia Azzopardi graduated with a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) in 2016 and Master of Psychology in Health Psychology at the University of Malta in 2019.

Ms Azzopardi is presently employed full-time with the Mental Health Services, both within Mount Carmel Hospital and the community, where she works therapeutically with individuals. Her role includes conducting interventions with patients in rehabilitation services experiencing several difficulties because of mental health issues related to medical conditions, as well as depression, anxiety and trauma.

She also had an experience in volunteering at Rehabilitation Hospital Karin Grech, having supported patients who suffered strokes, physical trauma and amputations.

Ms Azzopardi is also trained in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills, which have been utilised during the time volunteered at Child and Young People’s Service (CYPS) under supervision. Here she gained further experience in conducting DBT groups with adolescents and parents.

Ms Azzopardi forms part of the TAASC Multidisciplinary team focusing on the provision of psychological intervention to clients, offering psychoeducation and emotional support to significant others when the need arises.

Special Interests: Fibromyalgia and pain, dealing with medical conditions, health anxiety, trauma and loss, & relationships.
