I graduated with Honours in Psychology from the University of Pretoria (South Africa) and furthered my studies with a Masters in Clinical Health Psychology from the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences where I specialised in Child and Family Psychology.
I am trained in DBT, CBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, and Systematic Family Therapy which I also specialise in. I’ve volunteered with SADAG South Africa where I counselled, and have practiced skills training and group therapy at the Skinner Clinic and New Beginnings.
My approach to therapy is to collaboratively design intervention strategies aimed at improving mental and emotional well-being, building coping skills, and fostering resilience in individuals to develop healthier ways of thinking and behaving. Furthermore, I strive to provide culturally-sensitive and effective care for diverse populations through an understanding of the complex and dynamic role of culture in shaping human behaviour and mental health.
