Sarah graduated from the University of Malta in 2015 and started working as an occupational therapist within the public sector. She has experience working in different clinical settings, including Mount Carmel Hospital and the Child and Young People’s Services (CYPS) where she worked with children and adolescents with various conditions including autism, ADHD and other mental health difficulties. Sarah also has experience working in the private sector.
In 2019, Sarah graduated with an M.Ed. in Inclusion and Special Educational Needs, with distinction, from the University of Birmingham. Her areas of specialization include autism and social emotional and behavioural difficulties. She went on to obtain her certification in Ayres Sensory Integration from CLASI in 2021 and is interested in further pursuing her studies in this area.
Sarah is committed to supporting her clients to reach their full potential in their daily occupations by assessing and providing intervention in the areas of sensory processing, cognition, behaviour and motor coordination. She also believes in the importance of supporting the family as a unit by equipping the child’s parents with skills related to supporting their children’s independence in daily tasks.
Sarah is also trained to administer the ADOS-2, the SOS Feeding Approach and the Incredible Years Programme.
