Josephine Cassar graduated with BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy is 2009 from the University of Malta. During her studies, she undertook placements with children with ASD, ADHD, learning difficulties and global developmental delay, and with adolescents with mental health difficulties. She graduated with a Masters in Health Services Management in 2016.
Following her graduation, Ms Cassar worked for several years in a non-governmental institution where she provided intervention to children with congenital disabilities, autism, ADHD and learning difficulties through the use of both one-to-one and group therapy sessions. Presently she is working on a full time basis at the Rehabilitation Hospital Karen Grech (RHKG) with patients 16 years and over who have neurological difficulties.
Ms Cassar now also contributes her expertise within the multi-disciplinary practice at TAASC, to help assess and provide intervention to children who have attention, behavioural, sensory and co-ordination difficulties which affect their functional independence.
